The spring 2024 faculty and staff training workshop, "A Recipe for Team-Building: Cooking, Communicating, and Connecting," was a resounding success with 32 faculty and staff taking part. Held at the Towngas Cooking Centre in Causeway Bay on May 16, 2024, the event focused on preparing four Spanish and Italian dishes, including an appetizer (frittata), main course (Paella), and dessert (Churros).


The cooking workshop provided participants with a unique perspective on the challenges students face when learning new courses, enabling them to better understand and provide more effective mentoring support. The team-building cooking competition was a highlight of the event, promoting collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.


In addition to team-building, the cooking workshop facilitated staff bonding as participants shared and exchanged culinary expertise and techniques. This cross-training, effective communication, and skill development will benefit the faculty and staff in their future endeavors.
