More than 30 SBM faculty, advisors, and student mentors came together for the DIY Leather Workshop - CRAFTING CONNECTIONS on December 9, 2025 that not only sparked creativity, but also broke down barriers to strengthen communication between participants.

The workshop is sponsored by the Center and was facilitated by MOTTO Carpe Diem. The workshop provided a creative space for participants to collaborate and connect. Participants learnt the art of leather-making and picked their own colors for leather and thread to craft their own wallet.

Partnering together, participants worked on each other's wallet building trust and communication and exchanged constructive feedback during the process. The atmosphere was filled with creativity spirit, collaboration, and a shared sense of accomplishment as colleagues worked in pairs to help bring each other’s artistic visions to life.

Overall, the CRAFTING CONNECTIONS workshop was a splendid success, leaving participants not only with colorful wallets, but also with a meaningful and memorable experience. We hope participants can build on this experience and continue to strengthen their connections in various working areas. Stay tuned for Karen Lee Center’s next faculty and staff training workshop!
