Peer Mentoring Program Kick-Off Day - Aug 11, 2023
To kick-start the new academic year, nearly 600 freshmen attended the Academic Advising Session and the Peer Mentoring Day held on August 11, 2023. Student mentors and freshmen mentees enjoyed the activities together and engaging in the session.
School Welcome and Orientation - 29 Aug
SBM hosted the first-ever Welcome and Orientation at the Shaw Auditorium on 29 Aug, with over 400 undergraduate freshmen who joined the event in person, and more than 200 students who viewed the live-stream online! The Peer Mentoring Committee produced a video to show the importance of Peer Mentors and also promoted the Peer Mentoring Program and Committee during the exciting live event.
Peer Mentoring Program Kick-Off Day - Aug 12, 2022

Excellence in Student Mentoring Awardees 2021-22
CONGRATULATIONS to the 4 awardees of the Excellence in Student Mentoring Awards in 2021-22! These awards help to promote the importance of mentoring and honors mentors’ leadership contribution. Students are recognized for their outstanding contribution to the Peer Mentoring Program.
Outstanding Performance in Public Service Internships 2021-22
The UG Programs Office offers a credit-bearing Social Enterprise Internship Program (SBMT 2200) in the Winter and Summer terms to strengthen students’ awareness in community services and social entrepreneurship. All participants are eligible to apply for the Public Service Internship Scholarship (PSIS), supported by the Dr. Karen Lee Memorial Fund with the objective to encourage business students to serve the community by taking up internship at NGOs or Social Enterprise, and to recognize those with outstanding performance as nominated by their employers.

The Center hopes to establish a strong culture of care and support for students and these awards help to promote the importance of mentoring and honors mentors’ leadership contribution. In addition, these awards recognize students who have excelled in their contribution to the Peer Mentoring Program.
Career Mentorship Program Reception
With the generous support from the Dr. Karen Lee Memorial Fund, the UG Programs Office kicked off the 6th batch of Career Mentorship Program with a welcome reception on Oct 22, 2019. The Program provides a platform for our undergraduate business students to get valuable advice and insights for their career development and life planning from mentors, many of whom are HKUST Business School alumni.
