The evening began with welcoming remarks by Prof. Tat Koon Koh, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) and Director of the Karen Lee Student Mentoring Center. In his speech, Prof. Koh expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the dedication, passion, and commitment demonstrated by the Peer Mentors throughout the year. He highlighted the important role they play in easing new students’ transition to the University and emphasized the positive impact they have made in fostering a friendly, supportive, and inclusive learning environment within SBM.
Following the opening remarks, Peer Mentors enjoyed a buffet dinner, creating a warm and relaxed atmosphere for them to mingle, share their experiences, and celebrate their collective achievements. The Peer Mentoring Program Committee prepared a variety of engaging and interactive games, which brought plenty of laughter and strengthened the sense of camaraderie among mentors. These activities not only added energy to the evening but also showcased the creativity and team spirit of the PMC members.
To conclude the event on a high note, a lucky draw was held, adding excitement and anticipation to the celebration. The draw served as a fun finale and a token of appreciation for the Peer Mentors’ hard work and dedication throughout the year.
